Dear Barack,
I was born in this country 56 years ago and still believe in the bottom of my heart that I have every right that comes with my birth. I am part of this great nation...even though I was born 'gay', I still believe I am a proud and free American, a citizen of this 'one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all'.
You have my vote, now I hope you feel the same way someday!

Hi Chris.
I support economic, social, and legal rights for gays and lesbians. I support full civil unions, expanding hate crimes statutes, fighting discrimination at work and in housing and other places of public accommodation, and want to increase adoption rights. I oppose any Constitutional ban on gay marriage, oppose the Defense of Marriage Act, and oppose the current "Don't ask, don't tell" policy on gays in the military, which weakens us in a time of global challenges.
As a senator, I have consistently supported gay rights, and will continue to work for an open, tolerant society where people of all sexual orientations are protected and their contributions are valued. Thank you again for writing.
